There are many benefits to developing mindfulness through meditation, including more focus, pleasant physical states, and a calmer basis for emotions. Applied correctly, mindfulness is also practiced as a basis for developing positive states of mind like loving kindness. In this weekend course, learn different ways of practicing mindfulness both on the cushion and in daily life. Much of the weekend will be silent practice – a chance to turn inward and be in the moment. Beginner level course led by Sarah Brooks.
$160 course fee and meals; plus accommodation. Course begins 6:00pm on Friday with dinner followed by an evening session, and ends at 2:30pm Sunday.
