The coast and hills of the Coromandel valley are the perfect setting for nature and landscape photography. This course will explore both the techniques of developing your unique perspective and improving technical skills, as well as the ability to be mindful in the moment. We’ll explore the peaceful feeling of being in the “flow” when doing an artistic activity, and how that can be expanded into everyday life with meditation. We’ll have time for shooting in the lovely beaches and hills, and group discussion about composition and editing. You’ll be challenged with creative assignments to try new ways of shooting. Aimed at amateur photographers – bring whatever digital camera you like, a way to transfer your photos to USB, and, if you have any, additional equipment like tripods. Good tramping shoes a must!
Led by Sarah Brooks, who holds a BA cum laude in Art and many years of experience shooting nature photography, regularly juggling between an iphone, a Panasonic bridge camera, and a Nikon SLR.
