This course is great for anyone curious about Buddhism. We’ll explore how Buddhism is a psychology of the mind: practice revolves around fully developing positive emotions such as wisdom and compassion, and eliminating negative ones, like anger and attachment. There will also be a chance to learn about and try meditation. Take the time in a quiet and beautiful retreat setting to think about and try the methods and see if they are helpful to you, Buddhist or not!
Led by FPMT in-depth registered teacher, Venerable Lozang Yönten, who has a humorous and easy-to-understand way of teaching.
Pre-registration required. Course facility and meals fee $150; plus accommodation. Course begins early Saturday morning (breakfast included) and runs through 3:30pm Sunday. Anyone travelling from out of town will want to arrive sometime on Friday and book an extra night’s accommodation.
