White Tara

The White Tara teaching is an introduction to the benefits of White Tara practice, a transmission of the Mantra and instruction on how to use the mantra and White Tara Meditation for a healthy and long life.

“White Tara is extremely powerful. Tara is very close to sentient beings, like a mother is close to her children. She is very quick to fulfill our wishes and to grant us happiness and a long life, as well as to help us develop wisdom. By taking refuge in Tara and practicing meditation, visualizations, and having faith, you have the power to remove obstacles to your life and to prolong your life.”
Lama Zopa Rinpoche

37 Practices of a Bodhisattva

Gyelsay Togmay Sangpo wrote The Thirty-seven Practices of Bodhisattvas in the fourteenth century. His succinct and simple verses of advice summarize the quintessence of the Mahayana path to perfection. Geshe Sonam Rinchen’s oral teachings elucidate these practices for the modern reader and show how we can transform our actions, feelings and ways of thinking to become Bodhisattvas ourselves.

Manjushri Initiation

Manjushri is the buddha of wisdom and wields a flaming sword that cuts through our confusion, doubts and internal obstacles.

To practice Tantric Buddhism, one must first receive an initiation or Empowerment from a high Lama or Rinpoche. This is a ceremony where initiates are introduced to the practice related to Manjushri meditation.

*Participants must have taken refuge and have an understanding of the daily practice commitments they may be required to do when taking part in the initiation.
