Finding Meaning, Inner Happiness & Inner Peace - Meditation Retreat

Weekend Retreat - 3rd, 4th & 5th July

Discover a different way of living a meaningful life by applying some of the Buddhist views, perspectives and psychology. This meditation retreat will be based on the gradual stages to enlightenment of the Buddhist Path, as taught by Buddha, the Lam Rim.

During this retreat we will cover meditations such as:

  • Mind training
  • Life & Death
  • The law of cause & effect
  • Developing compassion
  • Understanding reality
The retreat will have moments of silence.

The benefits of studying the Lam Rim are best explained by Lama Zopa Rinpoche as follows:

Lama Tsongkhapa (1357–1419) is the founder of the Gelugpa school of Tibetan Buddhism. Je Tsongkhapa’s Lamrim Chenmo or The Great Treatise on the Stages of the Path is one of the most renowned Tibetan Buddhist classics.

Why retreat on the lam-rim? Because of every single teaching of Buddha, of all three vehicles, even one syllable appears as an instruction, as the practice of one person to achieve enlightenment. Not even one syllable should be left out of Buddha’s teachings. The main goal of every single word of Buddha is to tame the mind, because your heart and mind is the creator of all the suffering of samsara, including the three lower realms. So when you transform your heart, you are the creator of your happiness and peace, liberation and enlightenment.”
