Meditation for Everyone
Meditation Retreat with Hedwig Bakker
May 3-5, 2019
“All that we are looking for in life – all the happiness, contentment, and peace of mind – is right here in the present moment. Our very own awareness is itself fundamentally pure and good.
The only problem is that we get so caught up in the ups and downs of life that we don’t take the time to pause and notice what we already have.” – Mingyur Rinpoche –
In this meditation retreat you will be guided to do just that: pause, be with yourself, look at your mind, steady this quality of awareness, and get some insight into the mind itself. You will practice during several guided sessions of sitting practice, walking meditation and mindful movement practice.
Mahamudra Centre warmly welcomes back Hedwig Bakker to lead this retreat.
What to expect in the retreat:
- Experience the joy, contentment and peacefulness of a calm and steady mind.
- Awaken the qualities of the heart.
- Learn how to sit properly, how to set up a meditation practice, and how to apply the insights in daily life.
- Get a taste of what it means to be in retreat.
What are the results of participating:
- The benefits of a peaceful and focused mind
