Sarah has been studying and practicing Buddhism in FPMT centres since 1996. Prior to Mahamudra Centre, she has volunteered and worked for Kadampa Center, Tse Chen Ling, and Liberation Prison Project in the United States. During her time at Kadampa Centre, she helped plan and run the first three Light of the Path Retreats with Lama Zopa Rinpoche. She is an FPMT Foundational Services Seminar and Inner Job Description Facilitator. She also was the assistant facilitator for the FPMT Teacher Development Seminar pilot at Mahamudra Centre in 2016. At Mahamudra Centre and in the community, Sarah leads beginner level courses and meditation classes. She has also been a piano teacher and a middle school language arts teacher, so trained and experienced in Western pedagogy.
In addition, she is a landscape photographer who specializes in the Coromandel Peninsula and keeps a Mindful Photography blog. Prints of her work are available in Mahamudra Centre’s shop, online, and in Coromandel galleries.
